Amplification factors for spectral acceleration in different site category

Abstract

The research of site amplification analysis can be classified in two ways. First, we can get the data of seismic motion by different station where the earthquakes exactly happened. We will choose the reference site and target site close to reference site to divide data like PGA, PGV, respond spectral acceleration amplification factors. ( respond spectral acceleration of the site which is a single degree of freedom structure of special damping, largest magnitude.) Second, we can adopt an attenuation relation formula to calculate the earthquake parameters which in the reference site with target site. The advantage of this way is that we can get the accurate data no matter how much based data we have, in the same time, the distance of the target site and reference site is zero. Besides, the definition of reference site can be defined by different category. For instance, age, age + depositional environment, age + sediment texture, Vs30 could be the category to classify it. The calculation of amplification factor and last regression equation would be affected by the different classification. This presentation will focus on how to get the best regression equation by comparing the change of standard deviation from different reference site category.
